At v mooting- of tho Auckland graduates, it was decided to form an Auokland Graduates' Association, all members entitled to vote at Council elections to be admitted to the Association. A meeting was held to-day to raise funds for tho benefit of the. wife and family of the late Robert Garrott, gum merchant, who committed snicide. Tho family has been loft penniless. Ihe Athletio Club and other institutions intend to assist. Hawkra, Thjs Day. George Gibbs, manager for tho Sugar Manufacturing Company, was brought up yosterday on two charges of embezzling .£lO 78 and £7 4s respectively from tho Company. He was remanded till Wednesday, bail being allowed. Preliminaries havo been arranged for the formation of tha West Coast Dairy Association. _____^_______
