Prince Bismarck had a perfect ovation on his arrival, and it is estimated that fully 250,000 people were present to welcome him. Crowds of those present threw bonquots to the ex-Chancellor. The Emperor received the Prince with great enthusiasm, kissing and embracing the aged statesman. Both were visibly affected. Prinoe Bismarck lunched with the Emperor and Empress, bat owing to his enfeebled health returned to Fredriohsrube the same night, after being entertained at a banquet. The Emperor escorted the Prince to the station, end repeatedly kissed him. Prior to his departure Prince Bismarck visited the Dowager-Empress Frederick. The Emperor, on his return to the Eoyal Chambers, was accorded a hearty reception by the orowd, whioh expressed delight at the reconciliation of the Emperor aud Prince. The Emperor has appointed Prince Bismarck Commander of the Seventh Cuirassiers. (Received January 29, 1 p.m.) Berlin, 28th January. The Emperor has granted an amnesty to military offenders.
