At a meeting of Unionist Peers to-day it was decided to adhere to the Earl of Dndloy's " contracting out " amendment to the Employers' Liability Bill, and also to insist on an important modification of the Parish Councils Bill. Latest. THE UNIONISTS' AUTONOMY SCHEME. I special: i (Received January 29, 11.15 a.m.) London. 28th January. The Speaker newspaper has published the Unionist scheme for autonomy. The scheme, whioh it is reported has been approved by Mesßrs. Balfour and Chamberlain, provides for the formation of Councils — two in England, and one each in Scotlandj Ireland, and Wales — for abolishing Dublin Castle, and for founding a Catholic University.
