WELLINGTON CLUB. Saturday's match between teams belected by the President and Vice- President of tho Wellington Bowling Clvb — Meßsrs. W. Gray and J. Blundell— was one of tho closest whioh has yet been fought, ending in a victory for the President's following by 7 points. The scores were :— President's team, 95; Vice-President's team, 88. 'Jhe battle in the rinks skipped by Messrs. Gray and Blundell wa.B particularly keen, the scores at times being level, and victory eventually rested with tho President's quartet by two points. Both skips played a capital game. It being what in bowling club parlance is known as " ladies' day," thoro was a large attendance of the fairer sex and others, and afternoon tea was provided. White by 21 to 20 Rink Tournament (best two out of three games) — Ballinger's rink (Wadiell, Boyes, Drummond and Ballinger) beat Lockie.'s rink (Jones, Churchward, Lookie and Lawson) by 22 to 18, Ballinger's rink beat Lookie's rink by 21 to 6.
