In replying to the proposal from the Pren-.ier of New South Wales that the" proposed Australian-Canadian Conference ahonld be held in Australia, the Premier inclines to the opinion that better rosulta wonld be obtained if the Conference were hold in Canada, as lift thinks a visit of Australian representatives to the Dominion wonld be beneficial in acquiring a knowledge of the working of the Federal syßtem. In the Legislative Assembly Mr. Castine has given notice of motion that, before coming to a deoision respecting the proposed Canadian Conference, the Government shonld submit proposals to the House.
