" NEW AUSTRALIA." A WARNING NOTE.

A warning letter has been received by a, resident of Broken Hill with reference to the state of affairs in Paraguay, whore the " New Australia " colony was recently established. Tho writer says that all the English colony schemes started there have failed, and that the Government has imposed enormous taxes on exports. He felt it his dnty to writeja Anstralia to prevent, if passible, the misery and Buffering that would inevitably result if bands of Australian colonists went thero with a view to successfully settling down in the country.
