FOOTBALL.
The third and final football match between tho drapers and press toams is to be played at Newtown to-morrow. Drapers — Turner, Smith (2), Arnott, Broato, Gibson, Wallace, Johnson, -Worth, Orr, ReidJ Collins, Duff, Pearman, and Hooper. Pres3 — Cowan, Marshall, Earlo, Warwick, Griffiths, Hill, Read, Marter, M'farlane, Campbell, lieok, Coffoy, Robinson, Slinn. and Gibbons. The framo will start at 3.30 pm. Mr. I. Hyams will act as referee. • Mr. H. A. Arnold, Viee-President'of tbo New South Wale 3 Rugby Union, writes to i{r. Campbell, President of the New' Zealand Union, on tha eubjoot of the propo^d Australasian Rugby Union, that he will be a very strong advocate of the movement, as stamping tho national oharacter of the game by Btioking to a uniform code of rules throughout the Empire. Mr. Arnold con. aiders that ths reciprocity of action which' would result would help all the Unions in dealing with offenders.
