The monthly meeting of tho Board was held to-day . Present— Tho Commissioner (Jfr. J. 11. Baker), Messrs A. W. Hogj, M H 11.. F Pnani. W. A. Fitzherbert, and T. W. Fisher. Thomas Benton, jun , of Featherston. interviewed the Board in referenco to tho transfer of sections Bfi and 87, block 16, Mangaone, a small graziug run, which he said he had taken up in ignorance of the condit.on requiring that he should resido on the lund. It was resolved to Brant T. H. Walker's application to transfer his section to J. ~ Harding if he can get a snrvcyor to certify as to certain improvements. An application by W. H. Mountfield to transfer his section at Makuri to J. Malier was declined, and the section was declared forfeited for non-compliance with the conditions of the Act, the section to be weighted with the C"tim ited value of the improvements. The adjourned application in regard to the tran-fer of E. Kirk's interest in section 32, block 1, Mangaone, to S. Dawsdli, came befote tlio Board, and it was resolved to refuse tho transfer to Mr. Dawson, and approve of the one to Mr. Hi^gins, provided Mr Kirk cxecntes a declaration under Fcction 117 of tho Act. Mr. Higgins was _ directed to effect the deficient improvements within the next six months.
