« [i;nit«d press association.! London. 2tith July. Loid Onslow 's motion rejecting the Loudon County Council's Botterment Bill, was carried by 19. Mr. J. Redmond's amendment to tho Homo Rule Bill in favonr of Ireland being allowed immediate control of tho taxes, was negatived by a largo majority. Tho Unionists and many adherents of Mr. Sexton abstained from voting. Mr. Chamberlain has moved another amendment-that tbo Imperial control of Irish taxes shall continue until Parliament otherwise, determines.
