WAIRARAPA NEWS.
IBt Tiliciufh.J (Our Own Correspondent.) Mastkbton, This Dat. Tho Socretary of the Wairarapa North Benevolent Sooioty states that of tboXour men sent to the Old Men's Home only one was afflioted with disease, and he had a chronic affection of tho bladder. This man had never received relief from the local Society, but was cent to the Home on the rocommondation^of tho police Latir. It now transpires that tho man who was sent to the Wellington Benevolent Home in a diseased condition by the local Benevolent Trnstees hailed from Eketahuna, and was never in Mnsterton. Tho Trustees had not tho slightest knowledgo of his condition, and aro asking Constable Noator, on whoso recommendation ho wan sent away, for an explanation.
