i united press association. i Auckland, This Dat. Eobort Lanauzo, formerly chief olerk of the Custom*, dropped dead on Saturday afternoon in Fort-street. He was suffering from heart disoaso, and was on his way to see Dr Hooper nt the time. William Christian Schiska, aged four yoars, son of Mr. Schiska, a settler at Puhoi, was found drowned in a creek. / Our Oicn Correspondent!!.; Oabtebton, This Day. Leonard Hamilton, a J5-yoar-old sou of the licensee of tbo White Hurt Hotel, had his right hand destroyed on Saturday by the oxplosion of a flask of blasting.powder. Palmerston North, This Dat. William Hunter, at one time a lettercarrier hero, died this morning at Onehunga, Deceased was ailiug for some months, tho rosult of la grippe. Much sympathy is felt for the family. He is to be buried at Palmorston North.
