CRICKET.
Tho annual match between the Audit and Treasury Departments took place yesterday on the Basin Reserve, the former winning by 52 runs in the first innings, mainly owing to the vigorous batting of M'lntyre, tho wellknown Phoenix cricketer, for 71. His performance was marred, however, by one or two chances. Ward also batted nicely for 28. and Innes carried out his bat for 12, the total reaching 141. The : Treasury responded with 89 — Morgan (25), Beechcroft (14), Hawthorne and Church (11 I each), and Stock (10) batting well. For the winners Webb, Bethune, and M'lntyre, and for tho losers Morgan and Church were the most successful bowlers. Luncheon was served by Host Cloggie, of the Caledonian, in his well-known style.
