The directors of the New Zealand Institute having asked the Council of the Auckland branch to nominate some one, not a resident in the colony, as an honorary member, the branoh have recommended Mr. Geo. Lincoln Goodall, Professor of Natural History at Harvard University and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
