JOTTINGS. The Native Land Laws Commissioners recommend the appointment to the Legislative) Council of two more Maori Chiefs, selected specially for their knowledge and experience in rotation to tho Conrts and Land laws. Ex-Constable Hugh Stewart, formorly of Wellington, petitions the House for a pension for injuries received while performing his duties. Mr. Fipher presented the petition.
