The Women's Christian Temperance Union Convention deoided 'to-day to memorialise the religious bodies on the subject of using unfermentsd wine in the communion. It waa reported that twelve branches are taking np the work of helping the female viotims of the drink traffic A largely attended meeting of ladies was held in the Provincial Counoil Chambers to-night, under the auspices of tho Union, to advocate female franohiee. Mr. R. Saundera, Dr. M'Bein Stewart, and the Reva. Oliver and Isitt spoke, and a motion waa passed expressing sympathy with the desire of women for the franchise.
