I.arnach, C.M.O . is to be married on 39th June to a daughter of the Earl of Cork and Orrery. The ship Suakim, bound from Brisbane to Wilmington, has been posted at Lloyd's as miEsing. (Received June 1, 12 50 p m.) London, 31st May. The Comte do Paris celebrated his silver wedding by a great reception, at which Queen Victoria, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and many other friends among the nobility were present. The wine trade with Oporto has virtnally ceased owing to the strike of employes there. The Financial News attacks the Victorian Bank for issuing a circular offering a commission to solicitors on deposits they introduce to the bank. The Financial News asks if it is the practice in the colonies to bribe persons in positions of trust to deposit money entrusted to their care. In the House of Commons, Edmnnd Robertson, M.P. for Dundee, moved for the reduction of the Premier's salary as a mark of the displeasure of Parliament at the action of the Government in withdrawing Lord Lytton from Paris on the occasion of the opening of the Paris Exhibition. Sir Jas. Ferguspon, replying, absolutely denied that the British Ambassador at Paris had been withdrawn for the reason stated, namely, as a protest against the celebration of the Revolution, and deolared that tho relations between Fiance and England wero undisturbed. The motion was rejected by a majority of 92. Paris, 30th May. The betrothal of Princo Louis Phillipo, Duo D'Orleans, eldest son of tho Comte de Paris, to his cousin, Princess Marguerite, second daughter Duo do Cbartres, is announced.
