The Squadron.

|Bt Telkgiiaph.] [united pbeBB association. | Attckland, This Dat. H.M.S. Orlando bearing the flag of Rear Admiral Fairfax, leaves this afternoon for Sydney. The stay of tho Bquadron here has been good for trade. There have been at times 1500 men ashore, who must have put in circulation among the tradesmen over jjIOOO, while the repairs to tho Dart cost over .81000. The Admiral is thoroughly satisßed with the work executed. The Admiral has had 2000 tons Westport coal distributed to the squadron, and has recommended the Admiralty to obtain a shipment for the usq of the English squadron on the China station. Ho considers the prioo for the carriage of Wostport <soal by colliers (8s per ton for 265 miles and 2s 6d per ton for some 10 miles by train) altogether too high. The Squadron will rendezvous at Sydney, and thereafter be distributed as follow: — Opal and Lizard go to tho New Hebrides, the Royalist and Raven to Now Guinea. It is not expected that the fleet will return to our waters before November. During a part of the summer they will rendezvous at Hobart. The Admiral intends to send one or two warships to Dunedin during tho Exhibition. The Admiral will go Home to England in all probability about the middle of March.
