[By Teleqbaph.J (Our Own Corretpondmt.J HATELocr, This Dat. Rich finds are reported from Mahakipawa. Gregg 1 and party obtained 33ozs last week, 19ozs being got on Saturday. Brimer and party got over 12oza, and the Maoris in the right-hand branch are reported as having topped the highest record. Many others obtained smaller amounts. From Waikakaho I learn there are now 120 men left on that field. Hart and party, the prospectors, and the Maoris are getting good gold. Empson and party are just on the bottom. In the Perseverance claim, a party of 30, they are down over 70ft, and expect to sink 30ft more before reaching the bottom.
