Nelson, This Day. The Superintendent at Wakapuaka wires to the Evening Mail that Port Darwin spoke the repairing steamer yesterday on the 1871 cable. Until then she was unaware of the break in the now cable. Later information from tho ship statos that she had cominonoed to pay out towards the buoy on the Banjoewangie end, whioh she expects to reach abont 4 this afternoon. She has 110 knots of new patent cable to pay out, whioh will complete the renewal of the 1871 cable. Tho »plioewas let go in 1175 fathoms, the temperature of the Bea at the bottom being 3 i degrees Fahrenheit.
