BETTING ON THE A.J.O. DEBBY AND " METEOPOLITAN." BY ELECTEIC TELEGBAPH— COPTRIQHT. [SPECIAL TO UNITED PEEBB ABBOCIATION.] Sydney, 15th September. There was a large attendance at Tattersail's to-day. Abercorn and Morok were largely supported for the double event, Derby and Metropolitan Stakes, but for the latter Cardigan seems most in favour with the general public. The stables are showing a disposition to back Kitawa and also Spade Guinea. Crossfire finds supporters for Bmall suniß, and there are enquiries for Acolyte. The favourites, however, monopolise most of the wagors. Outsido these the principal business worth noticing ja that 3000 was laid against Upper Out at 100 to fi. Quotations are as follow : — Cardigan and Morok, 100 to 20 (off); Phaon and Kitawa, 100 to 9 (off) ; Acolyte, 100 to 8 (off) ; Upper Cut, 100 to 7 (tkn) ; Spade Guinea, 160 to 0 (off) ; Frisco, jHvidend, and Arsenal, 100 to 5 (off); Paßha, 100 to 3 (off). Dunlop and Silyermlne haveheen soratched for tho Metropolitan. Cardigan was backed to-night for £2000. and Acolyto for .£lOOO.
