The General Election.
IBy Tblzqraph.J {Our Own Correspondents.) Kaitoke, This Day, Mr. H, S. Fitzhorbert addressed a large meeting here in the Sohoolroom on Saturday evening. Mr. James Martin oooupied the ohair, and introduced the candidate, who on rising was received with applanse. After speaking upon the various important subjects of the day, it was proposed by Mr. Farrell, and seconded by Mr. Nortncote, that Mr. Fitzherbert was a fit and proper j person to represent them in Parliament. This waa oarried unanimously. The usual compliment to the chair terminated the meeting. [united press association.] Marton, This Dat. Mr. H. Sanßon, candidate for Foxton, addressed the electors at Sanson on Saturday ovening. He declared against the present Government. He recoived a vote of confidence by a small majority.
