Cardinal Moran's Visit.
♦ THE DIXON-STREET SCHOOL. Yestorday afternoon the Cardinal visited the Dixon-street Convent Sohool, and was welcomed by tho ohildren, who sang a ohoras aa his Eminence entered the building. The following: address was rsad by Miss Mary Alvina Scanlon:— "My Lord Cardinal — We aro only children, yet we feel sure that none among the many joyona hearts who have welcomed year visit to Wellington boat with snob grateful loyal devotion as ours do to-day, when your Eminence comes to honour our sohoolrootn with your presence. It is a great honour for us to receive an especial blessing from your hand and heart— an honor whioh we Bhall never forest. Wo all join in thanking God for the grace which was bestowed on the whole of AustraUsia when your Eminenoe was raised to the rank of Cardinal, and wo send our united prayers to heaven that all blessings may dosoend upon yon to-day, and that you mar live for many years to guide and guard the Catholio ohildren of the southern islands, who look to you as their prince and pastor." The Cardinal expressed pleasure at tho address and gratification at meeting the obildron. Beveral songs were sang by the pupils, and the whole sohool sang, " Hail, Glorious St. Patriok."
