THE VICTORIAN LOAN FLOATED. THE COLONIAL CONTINGENT TO BE DECORATED. [special to united press association.] (Received Muy 14, IX a.m.) London, 13th May. Tenders for tho Victorian loan of £4,000,000 wero opened to-day. The amount required was fully covered at about an average of £100 10s. (Received May 14, 12.25 p.m.) London, 13th May. The official average of the Victorian loan is £100 13s 9d. There were 1153 tenders, covering £11,496,000. Tenders at £100 13s will receive 80 per centum. The Belgian Export Company have suspended payment. England will award medals to the New South Wales Contingent for their services in the Soudan. [rxuter's telegrams. I (Received May 14, 12.45 p.m.) London, 13th May. In the House of Commons last night, Mr. Gladstone announced that a Bill would be introduced shortly enabling Parliament to dissolve in November next. Tenders were opened to-day for the Victorian Government loan of £4,000,000 at 4 per cent., the minimum for which was fixed at 99. Tho total amount tendered for was over £11,000,000. Tenders at £100 13s will receive 80 por cent, of their application, above that sura in full.
