The seamen's Btriko terminated to-day by Mr. Macgregor, managing director for the Northern Steamship Company, agreeing to the terms imposed by the Federated Union. At a late hour this afternoon a large number of seamen assembled at the Customs Bhipping office for the purpose of signing the new articles to serve on the Northern Company's steamers, co for tho present at least tho matter appears to have been settled. It ia not yet kpown wbethor tbo chargos now ponding against a number of seamou for refusing duty will be withdrawn, but it is probable this will be the course pursued.
