|Bt Txleobaph. I [T7KITXO PBItS ASSOCIATION. Hokitika, sth September. Tbe Bteamer Murray, from Nelson, ia trying to enter the river thia afternoon, got asnore on the North Spit. The sea, was tolerably heavy, aud the steamer got into an awkward position an the beach behind the Froteotiva works, and it is extremely donbtjl if she will be able to gel off- without launching over the Band-banks into the rirer. 1 he steamer Kennedy was ready in the roadsttad to enter after the Murray, but seeing the' latter steamer's mishap, she remained in the offing.
