AUSTRALIAN. SIR HENRY PARKES' VISIT TO ENGLAND.

In the Legislative Assembly last night, Sir Henry Parke?, the Premier, made a lengthy statement regarding his approaching visit to England. He stated that ho undertook the journey solely on account of ill-health, but i that while in America he weuld interview the United States Government, and endeavour to obtain the free admission of Australian wools to America. All the colonial Governments, except Victoria, had authorised him to act on their behalf in this matter. Sir Henry further announced that he would, acting in concert with New Zexland, do his utmost to obtain an Amerioan contribution towards the subsidy for the San Francisco mail service. While in London he intended to re-arrange the system of emigration to New South Wales. Parliament would be prorogued between February and June, and in the latter month he expected to return to the colony In his absence his duties would be performed by his colleagues, and his journey would cost the colony nothing.
