Tho Wanganm Spring Meeting was hold to-day. Tnere was beautiful weather and a large attendanoe. The coarse was in splendid condition. Maidhn Platk of XoO Jly 1 Talpo 2 Discretion . 3 Eight stjrted. Ely was tho favourite. Comet cut out tho ruuning, with Taipo noxt, and Ely fourth. This order was observed for half a mile, when Rly went on nox*; to Taipo, and the pair passed Comet, who was beaten. Taipo led until just boforo entering the straight, when Ely came away and won easily by throe lengths ; the samo distanoe between 6econd and third. Time, 2min 4Sseo. Handicap Hubdlbs of JGSO Angler, 9at 51b 1 Monk, 9at 31b 2 Hawthorn, 9st 131b . . 3 This was a very pretty race, the jumping being good throughout. Angler hold back till toe last quarter of a, mile, when he ran up to Monk, and the latter jumping unkindly at tho last hurdle, allowed Anglor to socuro the lead, and won by two lengths.
