Sydney, 20th Ccfcober. A storm of unusual violence has beon experienced to-day on the coast and in this city, causing serious damage to several houses in the suburbs. 'J he shipping in tho harbour has, however, Buffered no injury ; and, as far as can be ascertained, no i casualties have occurred on the coast. Mr. Ormorod is appointed President of tho Commission. Its constitution is receiving severo ciitioism. At a caucus of the opposition todiy, a resolution was carried to tho effect that the Commission was unsatisfactory, and Mr. Ramsay has since given notico of motion to that effeot. It is understood that the motion is not intended as ono of want of confidence m the Government. This Day. Mr. Ramsay's motion condemning the appointments by the Government to the Education Commission will como on in tho Assembly on Tnesday next.
