ARRIVAL OF H.M.S. EMERALD, FROM FIJI
H.M.B. Emerald, Captain Maxwell, made our * ' harbour at 10 o'clock last night, bringing Sir Arthur Gordon, Miss Gordon and captain Knollys. The Emerald reports leaving Suva on the 9th instant, and, with the exception of experienciug a heavy S.B gale on the 16th, had a line weather passage. We notice that since she •was here last, Lieut. Barry has been succeeded by Lieut. J. B. Hay, and Dr. Marsh (formerly of ' I tns Wolverene) has taken Dr Williamson's ' position, the latter having left the service.
