? Mr. Thomas Dwan. one of the candidates for the Thorndon electorate, will address the electors at the Arcade on Saturday night. It is reported upon good authority that Mr. J. Dransfield, who has been several time 3 Mayor of Wellington, will contest the Te Aro electorate. Dr. Buller addressed a large number of natives at Otaki on Satarday, in the old native school. The Manawatu Herald laarns that he spoke in condemnation of the Native policy of the Government, but at the same time said he would not pledge himself to vote either for or against them. He also said he had been working hard for seven years since his retnm from England, where he was honoured by the Queen, and that now he had sufficient money to stop work. He wished to bri-jg about certain reforms in the law regarding native lands.
