SPECIAL TO THE POST.
THE NEW GOVERNOR OF NEW SOUTH WALES. THE INTERCOLONIAL BOAT RACE. SYDNEY. 23rd May.
Lord Augustus Loftus leaves London at the end of May by the San Fraucwco route, to assume the Governorship of New South Wales. The crews who are to take part in the Intercolonial Eight-Oared Race— Victoria v. New South Wales— on 31st May, appear to be very evenly matched. The Sydney men have improved in Btyle and form within the last few days, and are now slightly ahead of their opponents in the betting.
