AN EXPLANATION.
TO THB BDITOK OP THB BVBHItfO POST. Sir,— Will you kindly permit me to rectify an error reported in last night's publication re the meeting in bankruptcy of Thomas M'Clelland, bootmaker. It is therein stated that f> r a few weeks all went well, but some days ago upon going to tbe cash box at the end of tbe week the father found that all the money except £1 had disappeared. It should ha»e been the son who found that the cash box had been tampered with. Being chairman at the meeting, I deem it my duty to report the real circumstances of the case. I am, &C; ■i Frbd. Simbon.
It is just as easy to love a rich girl as a poor One. The average woman is composed of 248 boflw, 169 muscles, 51 old newspaper*, and 210 h alrpins. A boarding-house mistress, like the rest of us, has her weak and strong points— the weak being ber coffee and the strong her butter.
