GREAT FLOODS AT AUCKLAND. (PER PRESS AGENCY.) Auckland, 20th May.
Great floods have occurred up country. Telegrams from Drury state that at Hunua striking evidenco is to be seen of the late floods— huge logs tossod up into paddocks, wire fencing is covered with' gran and rushes washed up against them. Bridges had collapsed on the Great South Road. They were repaired the other day by tho Coutrty Council. Slippery Creek Bridgo is washed entirely out of the district. A man is reported to be drowned at Ararimu. The police are making inquiries.
