Does your correspondent mean to-say that no one ought to find employment in Wellington unless they have been born and' brought up here? If sisters may not be employed in the same school, would " JustltU" have brothers employed in the same public offico? His innuendoes against the fairness of the Board appointments are in this case wholly unfounded, and to have discovered this he would not have to undertake a journey as far as Canterbury. Prince louis of Battenburg, who is at a lieutenant in tho British Navy, is, \ seems, the favorite candidate of Russia for the throne of Bulgaria. His father (says the Examiner), Prince Alexander of Hesse, is an Austrian cavalry general, and honorary colonel of the Bth Austrian dragoons and Bth Russian HuEsars. The sister of Prince Alexander is Empress of Russia, one of his cousins is the Grand Duke of Hesse parrastad* Chusband of the late Princess Alice), and another has jußt married Princess Elizabeth of Prussia. Thus, this candidate for the Bulgarian throne if the blood relation of the reigning families of the most important Great Powers; and it fa confidently hoped that he will be received by the rest as a persona gratmima.
