INVERCARGILL. 17th March.
Bishop Moran conducted low and hig-h mass at St. Mary's this morning to a crowded congregation. St. Patrick's Day was observed aa a bank holiday, and it was celebrated this evening by the Hibernian Society holding a soiree and dance in the drill-shed. The attendance was lar^e. Fraver's accommodation-house, 20 miles from the Klbow, was totally destroyed by fire on Friday last. The cause is unknown. It was injured for £400.
