DIVORCE COURT. THIS DAY. (Before their Honors the Chief Justice, Mr. Justice Gillies, Mr. Justice Johnston, and Mr. Justice Williams )
BYLBT V. RYLBY. Mr. Conolly, with Mr. Cowan, appeared for the petitioner in this case, whi"h was adjourned for the decision of the Court. 1 The Chief Justice, Mr. Justice Johnston, and Mr. Justice Williams delivered lengthy judgments, in which they held that the respondent still had a domicile id New Zealand, and that the Court theref. n had jurisdiction. Mr. Justice Gillies said he regretted to differ from the three other Judges, but he held that both tbe petitioner and respondent had renounced their domicile in the colony. He wa«, however, glad to know that the majority of the Judges saw their way to grant that I relief to which the petitioner was so well entitled. The decree nisi was then granted with costs against the respondent. GEORGE V. GEORGE. Mr Gordon Allan, on behalf of the petitioner! said Mrs. George was very ansious to have access to those of her childrea who remained with the husband, and he asked that the formal application might bo heard before the Chief Justice, as the necessary efivlavit was not filed. The Court consented to the application being heard in Chambers. This concluded the sitting of the Court.
Mistakes.— No man ever acknowledges a i mistake so quickly as when he puts tbe lighted end of a cigar in his mouth. What that "Nice Fellow" said. — She: " Wrat age do you think I am?-' He (gallantly) : "I dont't know, but you don't look it."
