Arrived. 7.25 a.m. — Taupo, from Lyttelton. — Tararua, from the Bluff. Auckland. 4th December. Arrived— Rotorua, from Sydney. Passengers for We"ington— Bev. Mr. Harrington and Mr. Dransfield. The s.s. Tui mado a good run from Foxton yesterday of 8 hours, arriving in Wellington at 4 p.m. She leaves again this evening for Kaikoura and Lyttelton. The s.s. Stormbird left Wanganui at 9 o'clock last night, experienced fine weather, and arrived in our harbor at 9.30 this morning, bringing a full cargo of wool. She goes to Foxton The topsail schooner Shepherdess arrived last evening from Picton, timber laden. The steamers Eangatira and K'wi sailed for Napior last evening. Tho Government steamer Stella sailed last night for Nelson, arriving there at 8.30 tbis morning. Tho p.s. Manawatu leaveß for Wanganui this Afternoon. The s.p. Albion, from Melbourne via the West Coast, will arrive here early thiß evening, as Bho left Nelson for this poiu at 9 o'clock this morning. The Jane Douglas, from Foxton, will arrive hero early th ; s evening. The s.B. Hawea, from Port Chalmers and L\ ctelton, will arrive here to-morrow morning. She gois to Auckland via the East Coast same day. The s s TaranaH will arrive here to-morrow forenoon from the North, and sa'is for Lyttelton oi°v same day. , „ The b.s. Tararua, -which arrived at tho Bluff yesterday from Melbourne and Hobart Town, is expected here on Sunday next. The ship Wairoa was launched off the slip on Monday last, but in consequence of the stiff northerly w Ind blowing has not come round yet. She is the N.Z.S. Co.'s next vessel for London. The prevailing northerly wind has prevented tho sfctp Mataura being berthed at the wharf as vet. The race at Sydney on the Prince of Wales Birthday between the Auckland yacht Secret and two Sydney boats, Minstrol and Magic, resulted in favor of the Sydney yachts, the Minstrel beating her by 24 minutes 45 seconds, and the Magic by 6 minutes. Another race has beou arranged between these vessels, to take place dt"ing the Christmas holidays. Tho course is to be from Sydney to Newcastle and back.
