The Lytteltou Harbour Board have decided to offer Cunningham and Co. £20,000 for their interest iv the leaso of FeacocVs V)£iiarf, Lyttelton. If accepted, all the wharves and jetties of Lyttelton will thou be vested iv the Board. The Medical Officer of tho local Board ot Health reports seventy cases of infectious diseases during the last eight months, forty bving scarlet fever, twenty typhoid fever, and ten diphtheria. The number of deatlm from zymotic diseases during the hiuuc period wns thirty-three, of which twenty-four were children. The report is considered very satisfactory in comparison with the health returns for the other cities in the colony.
