? A telegram was received to-day from Newcastle stating that the barque Edwin Bassett sailed for this port on the 18th inst., and the Duke of Edinburgh on the 20th. The barque Union had not arrived up to time of despatch. The s.s. Taranaki sailed for Northern ports at •2 p.m. this_day.
