WOMEN'S DIVISION
The monthly' meeting of the Women's . Division of the Farmers' i Union was held in the hall, Mrs Gilbert presiding over an excellent j attendance. It was decided to give a donation to the women's memorial t and a donation and suitable gifts for the lepers. Mrs Coop gave an informative address on the activities of the division and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Competition results were as follows: —Meringues, Mrs F. Chamberlain 1, Miss N. Wright 2. Article from felt hat, Miss N. Wright 1. \ Large bloom, Mrs J. Scott 1, Mrs H. Riches 2. Small bloom, Mrs C. Smith 1, Mrs R. J. Ritches 2, Miss M. Allen 3, Mr Lennie's prizes for narcissi, Mrs C. Smith 1, Mrs K.
Happer 2. RAINFALL i The rainfall at Dunsandel for September, as shown by Mr C. A. | Wright's guage was 1.40 inches, comI pared with 3.42 inches for September of last year. Rain fell on six days, the heaviest fall being 49 points on the 13th. This year's total to the end of last month was 18.83 inches, whereas the total for the corresponding period of last year was 29.88 inches.
