WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
A pleasant afternoon was spent at the Doyleston Hall on Tuesday when the Doyleston Women's Institute held its monthly meeting. Mrs Dellow presided and welcomed two new members. An interesting demonstration was given by Mrs Dick on the art of rug-making. Competition winners were:—Blooms, Miss R. Rickerby 1, Mrs Tweedie 2, Mrs Turner 3. Apple jelly, Miss R. Rickerby 1 and 2, Mrs Harbidge 3. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Pearce, Jury, arid Jackman. SOCIAL AND DANCE Another of the popular dances conducted by the Doyleston Hall Bazaar Committee will be held in the hall tomorrow evening. A good programme has been arranged and will be followed out; there will be also novelties and competitions and cards will, as usual, be available.
