IDEAL WEATHER CONDITIONS
For the swimming sports of the Southbridge District High School (primary and secondary departments) which were held yesterday, ideal weather conditions prevailed. A long- programme had been prepared and the events were got through expeditiously, the teachers of the school and others having efficient control of the events. Quite a number of parents and friends of the school were present and spent an interesting afternoon. The following were the results of the races:—Learners' width—Senior primary: Allan Carr 1, Roy Stevenson 2, Neville Hunt 3; time 11 4-ssecs'. Primary juniors: B. Cordy 1, June McClelland 2, M. PERSONAL, Miss D. Hart has returned from a visit to the West Coast. Mrs N. G. Bradley, Murchison, is on a visit to her parents, Mr and Mrs G. Hart, Southbridge. Miss G. Finlay, Lakeside, is paying a holiday visit to Masterton. . Mrs T. Hutchinson is making satisfactory progress after treatment in Christchurch Hospital.
