LETTER TO THE EDITOR

A BAD CORNER,

Sir,—l would like to draw the attention of the Leeston Town Board to the bad state of the corner leading from High street to the Maternity Hospital. There is a good deal of traffic here, and it seems ■ strange that every winter this particular spot should be nothing but a quagmire. A few loads of clay and a little fine shingle on top is apparently all the attention it gets. There have been a few minor accidents in this vicinity from time to time, and it is about time the Works Committee of the board made an inspection. Surely it would not require the services of an engineer to do a job like this.—l am, etc., QUAGMIRE. Leeston, May 27,1935.
