SPRINGSTON
Playing basketball at Springston, Springston was defeated by Wakaipa by eight points to three. Miss I. Mutton was the referee.
The Sunshine Club met in the Public Hall, Mrs P. V. Bailey presiding. Instruction in first aid was given by members of the St. John Ambulance Association. Afterwards the club entertained the Hall Committee to supper.
A meeting of the Women's Institute committee was held at Springston, Mrs W. S. Hopkins presiding over a good attendance. A six months programme was arranged, and various other business matters discussed.
