POST OFFICE BURGLED
THIEVES AT WORK AT LINCOLN.
ATTEMPT TO REMOVE SAFE
FAILS
This morning, between 12 and 6 a.m., the Lincoln Post Office, which is situated at the railway station, was entered by thieves.
Entrance was gained by removing the fastener of the window, then climbing in through the top and opening the doors.
The safe, which weighs four or five hundredweight, was pulled about five feet into the middle of the floor. A railway hand-barrow was in the room, but the thieves were evidently disturbed, as nothing was taken. There was a considerable amount of money in the safe. Springston railway' station was also broken into, but nothing was taken;
