PREPARED FOR DEATH

WOMAN WHO WROTE HER NOTICES. (From the Guardian's Special Correspondent—By Air Mail). LONDON, April 27. Twelve months ago Mrs Annie Chapman, the 54-year-old wife of Mr Henry Chapman, a boot-last maker, of Kettering, Northamptonshire, had a premonition that she would die in

the spring of this year. So sure was she, that she made arrangements for Iher funeral, and even wrote her own obituary for the local newspapers. Her premonition has come true. She died this week, knowing that she had prepared, as far as possible, for her death. In addition to the obituary, she also wrote her own final death notice, putting in the year 1935, but leaving out the date, and the official '■ notice of thanks for flowers and ex- ' | pressions of sympathy.
