PUBLIC NOTICES. - JUBILEE GIFT TO HIS MAJESTY THE KING. His Majesty the King has signified his pleasure that all moneys collected for the Royal Jubilee Gift Fund raised in New Zealand be devoted to the purpose of Cancer Research in New Zealand. CANCER RESEARCH FUND SUBSCRIPTIONS INVITED. The Government have appropriated the sum of £5000 as their contribution and, with his Majesty's approval, subscriptions are now invited from the public. The Government trust that the people of New Zealand will contribute according to their means to this worthy object—no sum will be too small. Every subscriber will be not only contributing towards a gift in honour of his Majesty's Silver Jubilee, but will at the same time be assisti ing, in accord with his Majesty's wish, a most deserving object. The j Canterbury, Marlborough, Nelson and Westland Division of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society, Inc., therefore earnestly appeals for donations^ Contributions may be paid into any Money-order office or sent to the office of this paper, or to the Secretary, N.Z. Branch British Empire Cancer Campaign Society, Inc., 212 Lambton Quay, Wellington, or to E. H. Wyles (Secretary of the Division), Box 824, ChristchuTch.
