LEAP YEAR DANCE
SOUTHBRIDGE NEXT WEEK.
WALTZING CHAMPIONSHIP.
Who will be the waltzing champion of Ellesmere? The ability to waltz is the only requisite to qualify one to compete for the guinea cash prize offered for the Ellesmere waltzing championship at the dance at Southbridge to-morrow week. This year is leap year. One extra day to live and laugh. It will pay to be cheerful on that and on every other day. Joy is a most profitable invetment, and many find their greatest joy in the relaxation of a dance. To the dance, then, they will go on Saturday night of next week, and there they will find such intensity of pleasure that a sunny state of mind will be theirs through all the following week. Remember: the best of music by Ted Slattery's orchestra, yet low admission charges. Exhibition dances by Christchurch exponents will be given, then, that guinea for the best waltzing couple on the floor, with its accompanying championship honour.
