TO-DAY'S LEESTON STOCK SALE
SMALL ENTRIES
As is always the case in July, entries in all departments at the fort- ■,:- nightly stock sale held at Leeston to--~1 day. were small, but there was a good v attendance of farmers and others. Values showed very little change from those ruling at the previous sale. The sheep sales comprised the following: Estate A. A. McLachlan, 10 ewes 4/9, J. P. McEvedy, 170 ewes, 14/-, 6 wethers 16/10. Top price for fat pigs went to Mr D. Tod, who received 82/6 for one. Average baconers made 52/- to 65/6, porkers 39/- to 48/6, large stores 23/6 to 32/7, medium from 18/-, small from 14/A springer brought £8 10s and a Jersey heifer £4 ss.
