OFFICERS ELECTED.
The -following officers were elected: Patron, Mr R. G. Power; president, Mr 11. A. Burgess; vice-presidents, Messrs 11. D. .Tones, T. G. Harper, T. J. Fussell, W. A. Sawyer, D. H. Eeid. J. H. Jones; secretary, 'Mr T. Grant; committee, Misses Chisholm, Mcßean and Curran, Messrs R. N. Fisse, M. Eade, with the president, vice-presidents and secretary; club captain, Mr T. Grant; auditor. Mr R. N. Fisse.
Messrs E. J. Slattery, J. Prendergast, R. T. Lambie, Thoroughgood and Miss Holley were enrolled as members. The membership subscription for primary school children was fixed at 1/6 per head for both sexes. The subscription for adult members was allowed to remain at the same amount as for last year. it was mentioned by Mr T. G. Harper that a small sum was held by the committee of the old Swimming Club, now defunct, and it had been suggested that this should be expended upon the encouragement of swimming by juniors. Mr H. D. Jones undertook to see members of the old committee with a view to arranging for the handing over of the fund to the present Club. It was left to the committee to fix an official opening day and to arrange for a programme of competitions through the season.
